The MedQuist server will be moved this weekend from the existing CSMC Data Center to the new Data Center in El Segundo. This will result in temporary delays to our transcribed report return from MedQuist.

310 Bldg Surgical Suites Go Filmless on September 8

Beginning Monday, Sept. 8, the surgical suites of the 310 Building will be filmless, with PACS images available via Web/VS.

Pilot Program Initiated to Expand Routine Admission Screening Cultures Protocol

Cedars-Sinai's Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) Task Force begins rolling out a new MEC-approved program next week that will allow nurses to order admission screening cultures per protocol for MDRO (multi-drug-resistant organisms) in those patients identified as high risk. Previously, routine admission screening cultures were only ordered for ICU admissions. Pediatrics also has had a screening process in place for all NICU and PICU transfers from other facilities.

The eighth annual "Controversies and Advances in the Treatment of Cardiovascular Disease," which draws heart specialists from around the world, will be held September 4-5 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
