
Marla C. Dubinsky, MD is Director of the Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Dubinsky is also an assistant professor of pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Dr. Dubinsky's main research interests are health outcomes, focusing on the development of screening tests for the early and accurate diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and pharmacogenetics. Her objective is to study the variability in drug response due to heredity in an attempt to optimize and individualize IBD therapies. Her research is supported by the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, American College of Gastroenterology and American Digestive Health Foundation.
Dr. Dubinsky has written for numerous peer-reviewed journals, including Gastroenterology, Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Radiology and American Journal of Gastroenterology. In addition, she has written book chapters for Trends in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Inflammatory Bowel Disease: Diagnosis and Therapeutics.
Dr. Dubinsky received her bachelor's degree from the University of Western Ontario and her medical degree from Queen's University in Canada. She completed her clinical pediatric gastroenterology training in Montreal.
