Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, through the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences, offers a training program to pre-doctoral practicum level psychology students. Students are trained in the practice of psychology and have the opportunity to learn the foundational elements of the behavioral sciences in a multidisciplinary setting with a wide range of patient populations.
The training program has two separate tracks.
In addition to individual and group supervision provided by the training committee students from both tracks participate in a weekly didactic seminar and students are encouraged to take part in Grand Rounds lectures as well as many other training opportunities offered in the various departments at Cedars-Sinai throughout the year.
Students are expected to be available for a minimum of 12 hours per week. Training begins September 3rd, 2008 and runs through June, 26th 2009. Students are required to participate in Cedars-Sinai's two-day Human Resources orientation prior to the start of training and are also required to attend an additional two-day systems orientation the first week of July 2008.
