Cedars-Sinai Resources

"I Can Cope" Support Group

"I Can Cope" is a six-week informational and support program for cancer patients and their families, taught by physicians, registered nurses, a clinical dietitian, medical social workers and other healthcare experts. The program, originally developed by the American Cancer Society, is planned and coordinated by the Department of Oncology Nursing and Medical Social Work, working in collaboration with the Cedars-Sinai Outpatient Cancer Center. Topics include: facing the emotional impact of cancer, cancer treatment, daily health problems, and nutrition and community resources. Visualization/Art Therapy Group

Stress management and relaxation control techniques to assist with mood, pain and self-esteem are taught in classes that combine imagery/self-hypnosis with art therapy. Please call (310) 423-0638 for more information.

Just Between Men Prostate Cancer Group
This monthly networking group offers men an opportunity to meet in a safe environment with others similarly situated to share information, thoughts, questions and feelings about diagnosis, treatment options, managing side effects and reducing psychological and emotional distress. This group will provide support and educational forums and is facilitated by Malcolm Schultz JD, MFT.
