Clinical Trial: Nuclear Cardiology Patient Outcome Study

Protocol Title:
CSMC Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging Database

Working Title:
The purpose of this study is to observe the way in which information from a cardiovascular MRI scan influences diagnosis and management of different cardiovascular illnesses, and how the results of the MRI might be useful in the prediction of future health in patients having the test. The study is also intended to help in developing better methods of analyzing cardiac MRI examinations. The collection of MRI scan result information into a database with many patients will allow observation of patterns within groups of people with the same cardiovascular illnesses. Comparison of the MRI results with patient's other cardiovascular imaging test results (such as echocardiograph, catheterization or CT scan results) will allow observation of what additional information was added by the MRI and whether the MRI result agreed with the results of other tests performed.
