Cedars-Sinai has been recognized as one of the nation's Top Hospitals 2006 by the Leapfrog Group. Only 59 hospitals made it to the list.
The recognition reflects Cedars-Sinai Medical Center's progress in achieving Leapfrog's four hospital quality and safety practices:
- An overall Quality Index Score developed from the scoring received on 27 healthcare practices
- Reported outcomes for specific surgical procedures.
- Training and staff of Intensive Care Units.
- Use of a computerized physician order entry system
