Our Expert Team

The physicians who staff Cedars-Sinai's Blood and Marrow Transplant Program are committed to better understanding blood-based cancers. They have devoted extraordinary amounts of time to advanced study and offer years of first-hand experience with transplantation. Our specialists consistently share their findings and experiences through published journal articles, conference lectures and teaching assignments at medical schools.

Cedars-Sinai's transplantation staff includes oncologists from many different areas of specialized medicine. Working jointly with them is our staff of caring, specially trained oncology and case management nurses. Rounding out the healthcare team are pharmacists, dietitians, psychologists, social workers, data management experts, occupational and physical therapists, and other key healthcare professionals.

The goal of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at Cedars-Sinai is to maintain the highest standard of healthcare excellence achievable. With that as a primary guiding principle, the program director demands that doctors who practice in this unit meet strict requirements before being accepted as staff members.

Patients can be confident that they are receiving the best possible help, administered by doctors, nurses, lab technicians, clinicians and administrators who have proven themselves outstanding in their field.

Before being accepted into the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at Cedars-Sinai, each doctor candidate must meet exacting and sophisticated training requirements. Foremost among their professional credentials must be extensive, first-hand experience performing blood stem cell and bone marrow transplants. These qualifying requirements are set jointly by the Medical Staff Constitution and the program's Executive Committee.
