Rapid Response Team Project

The purpose of the program is to coordinate existing services, such as the House Physician Program, Respiratory Services and Crisis Nursing in order to bring immediate diagnostic services and treatment to the bedside of inpatients who require rapid clinical attention because of a change in their condition. Sponsored by Cedars-Sinai executive Neil Romanoff, MD, the project is coordinated by Dani Hackner, MD, Michael Roberts, RN and Jane Swanson, RN, PhD.

Project team members will participate in initiatives of the University HealthSystem Consortium and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, including the 100K Lives Program, which is intended to reduce errors and infections in hospitals.
