Health services is one of the largest industries in the country, with about 11.3 million jobs. In fact, 12 out of 30 occupations projected to grow the fastest are concentrated in health services. Many of these positions are for allied health professionals. Training for many of these positions is available at accredited schools and colleges across the country. Often, a four-year college degree is not required. Cedars-Sinai actively recruits many allied health care graduates from these schools each year.
If you are interested in information about allied health careers, visit the California Post Secondary Education Commission. Additional information including an overview of various allied health positions and employment projections is listed in the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook.
