Patty Pierson joined the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Technology Transfer Office in 1994. Ms. Pierson provides quality intellectual property management and organization to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center's administration and to the Burns and Allen Research Institute, its principal investigators and its related entities.

Ms. Pierson is responsible for updating and managing the status of intellectual property matters. Her additional responsibilities include customizing and coordinating confidentiality agreements, royalty agreements and arrangements, material transfer agreements and related correspondence in consultation with the Deputy General Counsel of the Cedars-Sinai Legal Affairs Department.
