
Pediatric Surgical Services at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is a comprehensive program that offers leading-edge surgical therapies, from robot-assisted and minimally invasive surgery to multi-organ transplantation. The faculty comprises internationally renowned surgeons who are committed to clinical care, teaching and research. Cedars-Sinai has state-of-the-art pediatric and neonatal intensive care units with a full-time faculty of intensivists. The NICU is a Level III (tertiary) provider of newborn services, and patients are monitored 24 hours a day by board-certified neonatologists and nurses. It is also a designated California Children's Services Regional NICU. The PICU is a Los Angeles-designated Pediatric Critical Care Center and a state-designated center for California Children's Services (CCS). Mobilization of patients requiring emergency services can be performed by air or ground transport teams.
The Pediatric Surgical Services program is complemented by the world-class Medical Genetics Institute at Cedars-Sinai. This institute is one of the largest programs of its kind in the United States and offers all aspects of evaluation, diagnosis, appropriate referral and family counseling. The institute offers several innovative pediatric clinical programs, including the Cedars-Sinai Marfan Disease Center, Dysmorphology Clinic, Metabolic Disorders Clinic, Craniofacial Clinic, Skeletal Dysplasia Program, Neurofibromatosis Clinic, Prenatal Diagnosis Center and the Cytogenetics Laboratory.
