In the 2008 U.S. News and World Report Best Hospitals issue, Cedars-Sinai once again ranked among America's best in Gastrointestinal Disorders.

A Comprehensive Approach to Treating Anorectal Disorders

For many people, anorectal disorders such as hemorrhoids, fecal incontinence, fistulas, abscesses or fissures are a source of discomfort, pain, embarrassment and worry. With prompt treatment and certain lifestyle changes, these conditions can be treated easily, usually on an outpatient basis. In addition, seeing a doctor as soon as symptoms develop can help ensure that the condition does not get worse or mask a more serious condition, such as anal cancer.

The Anorectal Disorders Program at Cedars-Sinai offers procedures that can promptly treat painful disorders. New outpatient and minimally invasive surgical procedures allow patients to return to normal daily activities quickly and with less pain than more traditional approaches. With a long record of successful outcomes, program surgeons are experts at performing the PPH procedure.
