Medical scientists have become increasingly aware that medicines and treatments often impact women differently than men. As a result, an increased number of research studies is underway to discover and understand those differences.
As part of our commitment to help women improve their health for the near and far term, the Women's Health Resource Center, supported by the Women's Guild, has established the Women's Health Research Registry.
The registry is a database of health information shared by women whose participation in clinical trials can contribute to the well-being of future generations of women. Information in this comprehensive database is a vital component towards discovering new and better ways to diagnose and combat debilitating conditions in women.
Volunteers taking part in these research efforts have access to an experienced team of caring healthcare professionals, board-certified specialists, innovative treatments, cutting-edge diagnostic services, support groups and possibly financial compensation. All information shared by participants is held in strictest confidence. Volunteers also have the satisfaction of knowing they are making an invaluable contribution to the future of women's healthcare.
