Neuropathology

A one-month neuropathology rotation is done in the third or fourth year of the program. There are many frozen sections and a wide variety of cases and specimens emanating from the active Maxine Dunitz Neurosurgical Institute at Cedars-Sinai.

An extensive study set is available for review of a wide range of neuropathology entities. This service also provides exposure to muscle biopsy evaluation. Residents participate in all aspects of frozen section evaluation and case work-up with the two neuropathologists on our faculty.
