

Alberto Marchevsky, MD is a pathologist in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars-Sinai, previously serving as Director of Anatomic Pathology. Dr. Marchevsky is also Clinical Professor of Pathology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Dr. Marchevsky is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, and also in cytopathology. A nationally recognized authority on the pathology of the lung and mediastinum, he is an expert in image analysis technology, telepathology and neural network evaluations.
A member of numerous professional societies, Dr. Marchevsky is a fellow of the California Society of Pathologists and the College of American Pathologists and a former president of the Los Angeles Society of Pathologists. He is on the editorial board of Human Pathology, and he is the author of more than 100 scientific articles and four books, including Surgical Pathology of the Mediastinum.
Dr. Marchevsky received his bachelor's degree from Colegio A. Alvarez and his medical degree from Cuyo University Medical School in Mendoza, Argentina. He completed an internship in the Pathology Department at Children's Hospital Boston and a fellowship in pathology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Marchevsky also completed a pathology residency and a fellowship in pulmonary pathology at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where he served as Chief Resident.
