
As part of our commitment to maintaining your good health, the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network offers a variety of classes and health management programs taught by licensed professionals covering many health education topics. Our health education classes are open to everyone in the Cedars-Sinai community, whether your physician is part of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group or Cedars-Sinai Health Associates, or if you are just one of our neighbors.

Learn the correct procedures for resuscitating the adult victim (over the age of 9). This course discusses signs of a heart attack, first aid for choking (Heimlich Maneuver) and hands-on practice of CPR on mannequins. A certificate of course completion is included.
This class could help make the difference between life and death for your child or a loved one in an emergency. Participants in this class will learn the correct procedures for resuscitating an infant (newborn to age one) or child (age one to eight). A certificate of course completion is included.
Many back and neck problems can be controlled or prevented. Learn the most common causes of back problems, pain reduction techniques, posture awareness and body mechanics.
In the event you are unable to make your own healthcare decisions, delegating your decision-making responsibility is important for you and clarifies difficult issues for your loved ones. Learn the steps to complete an advance directive or durable power of attorney for healthcare.
These classes cover topics ranging from conception and pregnancy to childbirth. Participants will learn about proper nutrition, exercise, Lamaze, cesarean birth, breast feeding, infant care and more.
