Transfusion Medicine Fellowship

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center offers an accredited one-year fellowship in transfusion medicine. Cedars-Sinai is a tertiary care center with a Level I trauma service, a comprehensive cancer center and an active multi-organ transplant program, including peripheral blood stem cell collection. Fellows in the program gain expertise in all aspects of clinical transfusion medicine through experience with an active transfusion service, therapeutic and supportive apheresis center, community and autologous donor services and component processing laboratory. The program encourages involvement by fellows in ongoing research investigating the pathophysiology of hemolytic transfusion reactions, autologous transfusion practices, therapeutic apheresis and stem cell collections, leukocyte reduction and support of patients with coagulation disorders.

Fellowship applicants must be eligible for California licensure and have at least two years of clinical pathology, medicine or pediatric training. Board eligibility is preferred. Stipends are commensurate with the applicant's level of training. Inquires can be made to:
