When will I hear back from someone in Human Resources about the resume I sent in?

Your resume is entered into our interactive resume database. There is no set timeframe for hearing back from us. The timeframe varies widely depending upon the number and types of openings we have, as well as, the number and qualifications of other applicants. Cedars-Sinai receives an extremely large number of resumes. It is not possible to call everyone who applies for a job with Cedars-Sinai.

Can you send me a list of your current job opportunities?

Unfortunately, we cannot send out lists of our current job opportunities. However, you may view a complete listing of open positions at Cedars-Sinai on our Jobs Database on our website. You may also call our Jobline at (310) 423-8230.

How do I know if my resume has been received?

We will send you a postcard one to four weeks after we receive your resume.

How long will my resume be kept on file?

Your resume will remain active in our database for one year after submission. During that time, it may be reviewed on a periodic basis for open jobs for which you may be qualified.

How will you match my resume to jobs that I may qualify for?

Our resume system searches for key words, such as job skills, educational degrees or certificates you hold, and work experience. These criteria are used to match your resume to job openings that require the skills, educational level, certification or work experience you may hold.

Cedars-Sinai receives a large number of job applicants for many of our open jobs. The Recruitment staff cannot give status updates about the resumes that we have received.

Our online job postings are updated weekly. If you cannot find a particular job, it has already been filled.

What information will I need to provide to have my resume matched to jobs for which I qualify?

Give as much information as possible about your past jobs, job skills, education and experience with equipment and software. Key words are taken from this information and matched against the requirements of open jobs. The more information you give, the better we can match your resume to available jobs.

Do I need to include a cover letter with my resume?

You only need to include a cover letter if you want to provide additional information about yourself and your work history that is not included on your resume.

Do I need to include the employee requisition number of the job I am interested in with my resume?

No. When you apply for a specific job, the recruiter assigned to fill the position will be sent a message that you would like to be considered for the opening.

Yes, you are welcome to drop off your resume at the Recruitment and Workforce Planning office of Human Resources at the address above Mondays through Fridays (except holidays) from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
