Stroke and Neurologic Rehabilitation

The Stroke and Neurologic Rehabilitation Program helps people with neurologic deficits resulting from cerebrovascular (stroke) disease, central nervous system diseases (Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and myelopathy), neuromuscular diseases (myasthenia gravis, ALS, Guillain-Barre) and postsurgical brain and spinal cord injuries.

Physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists offer treatment to improve communication, physical and cognitive functioning. This allows patients more self-reliance and successful integration at home, in the community and at work.

For appointments, a doctor's written prescription is needed. It may be sent by fax or mail. Prior authorization by the patient's health plan or insurance carrier may also be needed. Patients will be called to arrange an initial evaluation within 24 hours of receiving the prescription.
