The Department of Rehabilitation at Cedars-Sinai comprises Acute Therapy Services, inpatient rehabilitation services through the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit and Outpatient Rehabilitation Services.
Acute therapy services are provided to patients in the medical and surgical units of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center who can benefit from therapeutic services including physical, occupational and speech-language therapies and neuropsychology services.
Inpatient rehabilitation services are provided in a dedicated 28-bed unit on the Medical Center's seventh floor. The unit offers intensive rehabilitation therapy to physically and cognitively impaired individuals.
Outpatient rehabilitation services are provided at the Mark Goodson Building near Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
We serve patients ranging from seniors recovering from strokes to teens and adults dealing with the physical challenges of injuries or illness. Each patient is assessed to identify his or her rehabilitation needs. Personal treatment plans are created based on the patient's goals, condition and ability to function. A team of experts with specialties in a variety of fields carries out treatment plans.
