Procedure Center

Located on the 5th floor of the South Tower in room 5725, the Procedure Center provides adults with outpatient services that, at many other institutions, can be accomplished only in the inpatient setting or in the emergency department. This includes transfusions, administration of chemotherapy and placement of vascular access catheters, such as a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC). In addition, conscious sedation is provided when required by patients of the Dental Clinic and Obstetrics/Gynecology Clinic.

By providing these services in a convenient outpatient setting, the comfort of the patient is emphasized. Appropriate care is provided while avoiding the significant cost and disruption of daily activities that can accompany a hospitalization or a visit to the emergency department. These services also are available on an inpatient basis. Physicians in the Division of General Internal Medicine and throughout Cedars-Sinai may refer patients for care at the Procedure Center.
