
Deborah Krakow, MD, is an attending physician for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Krakow also serves as Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), School of Medicine.
Board certified in genetics and in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Krakow has been awarded investigative grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Society for Gynecologic Investigation and the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Pediatric Endowment Fund. Her research interests involve the molecular basis of skeletal diseases, especially in the area of prenatal-onset skeletal abnormalities. In addition, she is involved in clinical research as Cedars-Sinai Medical Center's Director of the Perinatal Center for Clinical Research supported by the NIH.
Dr. Krakow has written numerous articles for peer-reviewed publications and is a reviewer for the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, Prenatal Diagnosis, Fertility and Sterility and the Journal of Pediatrics. She has also written book chapters on skeletal dysplasias.
Dr. Krakow received her bachelor's degree from Arizona State University in Tempe and her medical degree from Chicago Medical School. After an internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, she completed fellowships in maternal-fetal medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and in research and clinical genetics at the UCLA Intercampus Medical Genetics Training Program.
