

Alan Newman, DDS, is a dentist with The Pain Center. He practices orofacial pain and dysfunction, which includes treatments for headaches, facial pain, TMJ disorders and sleep apnea.
Dr. Newman is also a lecturer and instructor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dentistry, Department of Oral Medicine and Orofacial Pain. He was previously a faculty member at Loma Linda School of Dentistry, Department of Oral Medicine.
Dr. Newman participates in the activities of the Los Angeles Sleep Society, The International Headaches Society and the UCLA Orofacial Pain Associates Study Club.
Dr. Newman earned his bachelor's degree from Rutgers College and his dental degree from UCLA. He completed a general practice residency at the West Los Angeles Veteran's Administration Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. He also completed a residency in orofacial pain and dysfunction at UCLA, where he again served as Chief Resident.
