

Peter J. Julien, MD, is Chief of Thoracic Imaging and Director of the Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) Program at the S. Mark Taper Foundation Imaging Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Julien is also a member of the Saul and Joyce Brandman Breast Center at Cedars-Sinai.
Renowned nationwide as an expert in chest radiology, Dr. Julien has delivered more than 100 lectures on imaging and interventional radiology, including minimally-invasive procedures to treat cancer, to clinicians across the United States.
He is an expert in multimodality imaging and outpatient diagnostic procedures, has trained as a subspecialist in imaging disciplines including CT imaging, X-ray and mammography, and has published extensively in the field of pulmonary imaging.
Dr. Julien received his medical degree from the University of Miami and completed his postgraduate training in internal medicine at Yale. He was awarded a National Institutes of Health fellowship in diagnostic radiology at the University of California, San Francisco, where he received the Gold Medal Award from the Association of University Radiologists.
A former assistant professor of radiology at UCSF, Dr. Julien has been a Cedars-Sinai physician for more than 33 years.
