
Andrew L. Freedman, MD, FAAP is Director of Pediatric Urology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Freedman's clinical interests include minimally invasive surgical techniques for the treatment of pediatric urological disorders, including laparoscopy, and the treatment of neurogenic incontinence. His research interests include the emerging specialty of fetal urology, including detection, diagnosis and treatment of genitourinary abnormalities before a child is born.
Dr. Freedman has published articles in numerous peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Urology, Urology, Pediatrics, and Lancet. He is an ongoing reviewer for medical journals, including Pediatrics, Journal of Urology, Journal of Pediatric Nephrology and Urology.
Certified by the American Board of Urology, Dr. Freedman is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Urological Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, Society of Pediatric Urology and Society of Fetal Urology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Freedman received his bachelor's degree from Northwestern University and his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School. He completed his residency and served as Chief Resident in urology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Center for Health Sciences. In addition, Dr. Freedman completed a fellowship in pediatric urology at Children's Hospital of Michigan.
