LASIK Surgery at
Beverly Hills Vision Center

Beverly Hills Vision Center offers LASIK (laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis) surgery for vision correction. LASIK is an FDA-approved procedure, in which a laser is used to reshape the cornea so that the eye does a better job of focusing images onto the retina, resulting in sharper vision.

Comprehensive Services

The Beverly Hills Vision Center, as part of Cedars-Sinai Medical Group (a trusted name in healthcare since 1985) provides the complete range of LASIK services, from the initial assessment through postoperative follow-up care.

The LASIK procedure itself takes only about 15 minutes. Because vision may be blurry afterwards, patients should have someone else drive them.

Expert Physician

Michael Yang, MD
Michael Yang, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who performs the LASIK surgery. Dr. Yang received his bachelor's degree from University of California, Los Angeles, and his medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Veterans Administration Sepulveda Medical Center and Olive View County Hospital and his residency at Jules Stein Eye Institute in Los Angeles.

Appropriate Candidates

Appropriate candidates for LASIK surgery are patients under 55 years of age with at least one year of stable vision and who have:

  • Nearsightedness
  • Farsightedness
  • Astigmatism

Patients with any of the following conditions are NOT candidates for LASIK:

  • Glaucoma
