
Behrooz Hakimian, MD is a staff physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (CSMC) with offices in the Outpatient Cancer Center at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute. He is also Co-Director of the CSMC Gamma Knife Center. Dr. Hakimian is experienced with intraoperative radiation therapy, total body irradiation, hyperthermia, prostate irradiation, brachytherapy for female reproductive cancers and gamma knife. His clinical expertise is in gynecologic, brain, breast, colorectal, lung, neck, prostate and pediatric cancers.
Dr. Hakimian is an associate professor at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). He is certified through the National Board of Medical Examiners, and is board certified as a diplomate through the American College of Radiology with a subspecialty in therapeutic radiology. Dr. Hakimian speaks conversational Spanish and is fluent in Farsi.
While completing his residency at the UCI School of Medicine in the Oncology Program, Dr. Hakimian was Chief Resident. His internship in internal medicine was completed at Wadsworth VA Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Hakimian received his medical degree from the University of Southern California (USC) School of Medicine.
