
George Y. Liu, MD, PhD is a pediatric infectious diseases physician at Cedars-Sinai's Pediatric Services. He is also an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Dr. Liu's research focuses on the pathogenesis of Staphylococcus aureus, particularly MRSA. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed publications such as Nature, Science, Immunity, The Journal of Experimental Medicine, the Journal of Clinical Investigation, and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science USA.
Dr. Liu graduated from the California Institute of Technology with a bachelor's of science. He earned his doctorate in immunology at the University of Cambridge in England and his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego. He completed a residency in pediatrics from the University of California, Davis, and a fellowship in infectious diseases at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Liu is board certified in Pediatric infectious diseases.
