Mission Statement
The Telepyschiatry Clinic at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences Mission Statement:
“It is our belief that every child with a developmental disability in the state of California should have access to expert child psychiatric consultation.”
- To treat psychiatric disorders of the developmentally disabled in underserved areas
- To train doctors with proper skills, confidence and knowledge to treat this population
- To teach family, caretakers and professionals to better understand these disorders
- To promote maximum growth, development and self-determination for each person with developmental disability
