Research:
The fellowship program offers research opportunities to enhance your learning experience and to promote discovery. Cedars-Sinai ranks among the top non-university hospitals nationwide receiving research funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The program has on-going research projects and participation in research is required. Each fellow is assigned at least one research project and a mentor, and is expected to participate in the preparation of abstracts, papers, and presentations for publication.
Core Competencies:
The ACGME identified six competencies which are part of the curriculum of every ACGME-accredited program in United States, and are the criteria used throughout the musculoskeletal radiology fellowship program to assess and document our fellows¿ individual performance and to assess our overall program performance. The program uses multiple teaching tools to assess the fellows competence in the following six areas:
- Medical Knowledge
- Patient Care
- Professionalism
- Interpersonal and Communications Skills
- Practice-Based Learning
- Systems-Based Practice
