Answer:

Answer: 1. Renal Infarction.

Findings

  • CT of the Abdomen shows small, sharply demarcated, wedge-shaped area of poor contrast-enhancement in the left kidney.

  • Ultrasound of the Abdomen shows echogenic, wedge shaped area of infarcted kidney in the upper pole of the left kidney with absent color doppler flow.

  • Reformated CT angiographic image in the coronal plane reveals wedged shaped area of absent perfusion in the left upper pole kidney.

Differential Diagnosis

  • Pyelonephritis.

  • Renal Trauma.

  • Vasculitis.
