Answer: 1. Renal Infarction.
Findings
- CT of the Abdomen shows small, sharply demarcated, wedge-shaped area of poor contrast-enhancement in the left kidney.
- Ultrasound of the Abdomen shows echogenic, wedge shaped area of infarcted kidney in the upper pole of the left kidney with absent color doppler flow.
- Reformated CT angiographic image in the coronal plane reveals wedged shaped area of absent perfusion in the left upper pole kidney.
Differential Diagnosis
- Pyelonephritis.
- Renal Trauma.
- Vasculitis.
