Siegfried Rotmensch, MD

Division Director, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Siegfried Rotmensch, MD is Director for the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Rotmensch's clinical and research focus is in prenatal ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, and in the management of high-risk obstetrical patients.

Dr. Rotmensch has authored and co-authored 80 articles in peer-reviewed publications including in The Lancet, Endocrinology, Endocrine Reviews, the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology and others. He is the recipient of numerous awards, and received the "Best Teacher Award" at Tel Aviv University three times.

Dr. Rotmensch received his medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, Israel, and subsequently trained for two years in basic science research at the Weizmann Institute of Science. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Michael Reese Hospital, University of Chicago, and his fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine, where he subsequently served as Assistant Professor and Director of the High-Risk Obstetrics Clinics.

Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai, Dr. Rotmensch headed the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Wolfson Medical Center in Israel, and served as Associate Professor and Director of Continued Medical Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology for a nationwide program of Israel¿s Universities. In the United States, he served as a consultant to the Perinatology Research Branch of the National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Rotmensch is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
