"Common Problems in the Pediatric Urologist's Office"
"Ambulatory Surgery in Pediatric Urology"
This year's lectureships will focus on children with urologic conditions treated frequently in the practice of both the general urologist as well as the pediatrician. Two of the most common challenges that are currently undergoing an intense reevaluation in their management are vesicoureteral reflux and cryptorchidism.
Treatment strategies and techniques for these conditions are being expanded and refined. As a results of more choices and a more nuanced approach to patients with these disorders, clinicians should integrate a thorough assessment of the pathophysiology that these conditions presents.
