
Matthew Kim, MD is Chief of Inpatient Obstetrics of the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Kim's main clinical and research interests are cellular hypoxic adaptation and the use of methamphetamine during pregnancy. Dr. Kim has written numerous articles for peer-reviewed publications, including the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Fertility and Sterility, Journal of the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, and Placenta. He is a member of many prestigious professional societies such as the Association for Medical Ultrasound, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, The Association for Medical Ultrasound, Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics, and Pacific Coast Ob/Gyn Society.
Dr. Kim received his bachelor's degree from Yale University and his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital with the University of Texas-Southwestern Medical Center and his maternal-fetal medicine fellowship at the University of California, San Diego. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
