Joel Aronowitz, MD

Division Clinical Chief, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

Joel Aronowitz, MD is Division Clinical Chief of the Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is also Clinical Assistant Professor in plastic surgery at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. His primary clinical and research interests include corrective surgery, facial cosmetic surgery, breast cancer, treatment of partial and complete facial nerve paralysis, and breast reconstruction.

Dr. Aronowitz is certified as a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the California Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is a Qualified Medical Examiner and Reviewer for the State of California Board of Medical Quality Assurance.

Dr. Aronowitz's research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Aesthetic Surgery Journal, and Gynecologic Oncology. A frequent lecturer, Dr. Aronowitz has made surgical presentations in Nantong, China and Sydney, Australia.

Dr. Aronowitz received his bachelor's degree from Southern Methodist University and his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his internship, general surgery residency and plastic surgery fellowship at Texas Medical Center.
