

Anandhi Narasimhan, MD is a Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. In addition to serving on the clinical faculty, Dr. Narasimhan supervises residents, fellows, psychology interns as well as medical students.
Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Narasimhan's research in psychobiology of posttraumatic stress disorder, alcohol use disorders and neuroimaging was published in the peer-reviewed journal, Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research in September 2005. She also co-authored a book chapter "Child and Adolescent Responses to Trauma", which was published in Blackwell's Neurology and Psychiatry Access Series.
Dr. Narasimhan has also researched "media coverage of child trauma: implications in social framing." Dr. Narasimhan presented her findings at a Grand Rounds Presentation, at University of California Los Angeles Medical Center, Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
As a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellow, Dr. Narasimhan was the recipient of the American Medical Association's National Association of Medical Communicators Award. She has had numerous media appearances on television, radio, and newspapers, including CNN, Fox News, and the Omaha World Herald.
Dr. Narasimhan received her medical degree from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute in Chennai, India. She fulfilled her Adult Psychiatry residency at Duke University Medical Center, in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Narasimhan completed her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Los Angeles, California, Neuropsychiatric Institute and Clinic.
