Cedars-Sinai Medical Group Gets Top Quality Rating

Cedars-Sinai Medical Group recently received the top rating of "Excellent" for its delivery of national standards of care, according to the State of California Office of the Patient Advocate's 2007 Health Care Quality Report Card. Cedars-Sinai Medical Group was one of only five medical groups in Los Angeles County to receive the "Excellent" rating.

Post-ICU Insulin Sliding Scale for Medical Surgical Patients Is Approved

In collaboration with the Department of Endocrinology, a post-ICU insulin sliding scale has been developed and approved by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. This insulin nomogram is aimed at achieving blood sugars between 90-130 mg/dL, according to ADA guidelines.

CSMC Dedicates Portrait of Emeritus Chair

of Surgery, Leon Morgenstern, M.D.

Surrounded by family and many of his closest friends and colleagues, Leon Morgenstern, M.D., Emeritus Chair of the Department of Surgery, helped to dedicate his portrait at a November 14 ceremony. Calling the dedication "the crown jewel of my career," Dr. Morgenstern joined Bruce Gewertz, M.D., chair of the Department of Surgery, in the Morgenstern Conference Room where many of the weekly departmental meetings convene.

After you select a patient, by default Web/VS will display that patient's reports and results for the last three days in reverse chronological order. You can change the starting and ending date for the displayed results by modifying the date menus under the heading "Clinical Results" in the upper left corner of the blue navigation area and clicking the GO button to the right of the date menus.
