
Cedars-Sinai has been recognized by the American Hospital Association for its leadership, innovation and commitment to quality patient care.
The hospital, one of only five nationwide so honored, was named a finalist for the American Hospital Association-McKesson Quest for Quality Prize. The prize recognizes healthcare organizations that have systematically committed to achieving the Institute of Medicine's six quality aims: safety, patient-centeredness, effectiveness, efficiency, timeliness and equity.
The AHA's selection committee of healthcare and patient experts praised the medical center's strong team approach to quality improvements and initiatives, as well as its ability to spread innovative approaches quickly throughout the Medical Center.
Cedars-Sinai was also recognized for its efforts to integrate patient- and family-centered approaches into the delivery of medical care and services.
