
C. Michele Burnison, MD, is Associate Director of Radiation Oncology at the Saul and Joyce Brandman Breast Center, and a radiation oncologist at the Thyroid Cancer Center, the Samuel Oschin Cancer Center, the Brain Tumor Center, the Colorectal Cancer Center, the Urology Center, the Head and Neck Cancer Center and Radiation Therapy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with offices in the Samuel Oschin Cancer Center at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute. Her clinical expertise is in cancers of the prostate, breast and gastrointestinal tract, and in leukemia/lymphomas. She is particularly respected for her experience in prostate radiation implants and intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT and seed implants), as well as breast radiation therapy.
Dr. Burnison is an associate professor of radiation oncology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Burnison held a clinical faculty position at UCLA for 14 years before joining the Samuel Oschin Cancer Center in 1999. She is board certified by the American Board of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology.
Dr. Burnison completed her residency in radiation oncology at the UCLA School of Medicine. Her internship in internal medicine was completed at UCLA/Sepulveda VA Medical Center. Dr. Burnison received her medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine in 1981.
