Consultation - Liaison Services
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences provides consultations to Cedars-Sinai's medical and surgical staff. The department conducts emergency room psychiatric assessments and triage, and evaluates and treats patients who need psychiatric services during their hospital stay.
These services are available seven days week, 24 hours a day and include:
- Psychiatric consultation and treatment
- Psychopharmacological consultation and treatment
- Psychiatric and addiction medicine referral and triage
- Addiction medicine consultation and treatment
- Psychiatric medico-legal and ethical consultations and recommendations
- Patient and famil education
- Hospital staff education
