Treating Ovarian Cysts with Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery

Many ovarian cysts are normal and related to regular menstrual function, but sometimes they occur through other processes. Although most abnormal ovarian cysts are not cancerous, they sometimes need to be removed if they are very large, change in size or appearance, cause pain or are suspicious for cancer.

Surgeons at the Center for Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Cedars-Sinai can remove ovarian cysts
laparascopically through small incisions, usually allowing for a more rapid recovery and return to normal activities.
