Treating Urinary Incontinence with Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery

Pelvic organ prolapse occurs when the pelvic floor muscles become weak or damaged and can no longer support the pelvic organs.

While not life threatening, it may cause a great deal of discomfort and distress, and can affect a woman's quality of life.

Experienced surgeons at the Center for Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Cedars-Sinai use a
laparoscopic vault suspension to treat uterine prolapse, when the top of the uterus or vagina bulges outward.

The center's surgeons work collaboratively with the
Center for Women's Continence and Pelvic Health at Cedars-Sinai to provide a comprehensive treatment plan.
