Emergency Lecture Series on "Hospitalist Medicine" - Tuesday, July 24
Bradley Rosen, M.D., medical director of the Inpatient Specialty Program (ISP) Hospitalist Service, will present a lecture on "Hospitalist Medicine" on Tuesday, July 24, from noon to 1 p.m. in Harvey Morse Auditorium. The lecture will include a discussion of career opportunities as a hospitalist, the resurgence of the generalist, and ISP performance at Cedars-Sinai. Farewell Reception for John S. Adams, M.D. - Thursday, Aug. 2
A farewell reception for John S. Adams, M.D., director of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism, the General Clinical Research Center, and the Bone Center, will be held on Thursday, Aug. 2 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the ECC-A & B. Dr. Adams joined Cedars-Sinai in 1989, and his many achievements include the initiation and development of the General Clinical Research Center, the Bone Center, and the Alfred Jay Firestein Chair in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism.

Management & Rehabilitation of Neurological Disorders - Saturday, Sept. 8
This conference will focus on new and alternative options in the management and rehabilitation of neurological disorders, including movement disorders, stroke and other upper motor neuron syndromes. Bioethics Noon Conference - Wednesday, Sept. 19
The Center for Health Care Ethics will present its Bioethics Noon Conference on "End-of-Life Planning for End Stage Renal Disease Patients" on Wednesday, Sept. 19 from noon to 1 p.m. in Harvey Morse Auditorium. Lunch will be available at 11:30 a.m. Guest speaker is Bruce G. Barlow, M.D., Clinical Professor of the Department of Family Practice at UC Davis. (This conference meets the Pain Management End of Life Issues requirement.)
