Melissa E. Kahn, MD

Gastrointestinal Pathologist

Melissa E. Kahn, MD is a gastrointestinal pathologist in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Kahn is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. Her primary clinical and research interests lie in the field of gastrointestinal pathology. She has presented her research at meetings of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology and the American Gastroenterologic Association. Dr. Kahn also has published a peer reviewed research paper assessing mechanisms of diarrheal side-effects associated with the novel chemotherapeutic agent, flavopiridol.

Dr. Kahn received her medical degree from Sackler University School of Medicine, Tel Aviv, Israel. She completed her anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Cedars-Sinai where she received the Leo Rigler award, which is presented to the outstanding resident. She also completed a fellowship in surgical pathology with an emphasis on gastrointestinal pathology at the University of California, Los Angeles.
