
The goal of this rotation is to prepare the general surgeon to perform an accurate and complete neurological examination and assessment, to interpret diagnostic studies, to establish treatment priorities, to manage complex critical care problems and to learn the basic elements of emergent neurosurgical intervention for injuries and diseases of the spinal cord, brain, and peripheral nervous systems.
At the end of this rotation, the resident should be able to demonstrate:
