Measuring the Quality of Care Provided to Cedars-Sinai Patients

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is dedicated to continuous improvements in the quality and safety of care it provides to its patients.

Cedars-Sinai examines and reports on volumes and outcomes of surgical procedures done at the Medical Center as well as patient safety and the rankings made by a number of outside organizations. These include:

  • America's Best Hospital ranking
  • Consumer Choice Award
  • The Joint Commission's National Quality Improvement Goals
  • The Leapfrog Group Hospital Survey

Our quality is measured in high patient satisfaction scores, continuous clinical performance monitoring, excellent medical outcomes, ongoing research and academic programs, and receipt of designations and awards.

Cedars-Sinai regularly reports on volumes, outcomes and patient satisfaction on a growing number specialty areas, including:

  • Blood and Marrow Transplant Program
  • Colorectal surgery
  • GI endoscopy

In addition to clinical outcomes, Cedars-Sinai measures and reports on patient satisfaction ratings. These include patient satisfaction with:

  • Inpatient services
  • Emergency Department services

Patient safety is a primary focus at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Ongoing monitoring in the area of patient safety include:
