
Luc Jasmin, MD, PhD is a neurosurgeon with the Department of Neurosurgery and a Senior Research Scientist with the Board of Governors Gene Therapeutics Research Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Jasmin also conducts research on the anatomical, cellular and molecular mechanisms of pain, nerve injury and fibromyalgia.
Dr. Jasmin is a member of several professional societies, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Royal College of Surgeons, International Association for the Study of Pain and the American Pain Society.
Dr. Jasmin received his bachelor's, medical and doctorate from the University of Montréal in Canada. He fulfilled an internship in surgery and a residency in neurosurgery at Notre-Dame Hospital at the University of Montréal. He completed a research fellowship in pain research with Allan Basbaum, PhD and a clinical fellowship in brain tumor surgery with Charles Wilson, MD at the University of California, San Francisco.
