Under the auspices of the Department of Surgery, the Trauma Program/Trauma Services provides leadership in clinical care, performance improvement, injury prevention, research, education, community outreach and trauma system planning.

The urgency, complexity and severity of trauma necessitates strong surgical leadership and a multidisciplinary approach to completely and effectively care for patients who have suffered a traumatic injury.
