A memorial service for Howard J. Weinberger, M.D., will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Cedars-Sinai chapel on Wednesday, Feb. 7.

Dr. Weinberger passed away at the age of 90 on January 4. A rheumatologist, he joined the Cedars-Sinai medical staff in 1950 and was a member of the Department of Medicine and Division of Rheumatology for more than 50 years. In addition, Dr. Weinberger was a member of numerous committees and elected staff positions, including Clinical Chief of Rheumatology.

Dr. Weinberger is survived by his wife of 61 years, Pamela; his son, Alan Weinberger, M.D.; daughter, Susan Ashley; grandchildren Lauren and Ethan, and his sister, Irene Wolen.
