Leo Gordon, M.D., will present a lecture on "Cut to the Chase: 100 Matrix Pearls for Doctors," based on his book of the same title, on Wednesday, Feb. 7, from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The lecture will be held in the Medical Library on the Plaza Level in Room 2815. Dr. Gordon will be signing his book after the program, and attendees are also encouraged to bring their lunch. The Center for Health Care Ethics will present a noon conference on "The Impact of Medical Technology for the Future Elderly" on Wednesday, Feb. 14, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. in Harvey Morse Auditorium. The guest speaker is Dana P. Goldman, Ph.D., professor of economics and director of Health Care Economics, Finance and Organization at RAND Corporation in Santa Monica. Willie Nelson, Jackson Browne and John Trudell will perform on Thursday, Feb. 22, at "Give Love, Give Life," a benefit concert to raise awareness about ovarian cancer and support the Cedars-Sinai Women's Cancer Research Institute at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute. The concert starts at 8 p.m. in the Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal CityWalk. Tickets are on sale at the Gibson Amphitheatre Box Office and at all Ticketmaster locations.
